Every friday night, Souk by the Sea provides live performances for our visitors. The culturally rich music and dance enhances the Souk experience and introduces many to the cultural heritage of Southern Jordan.  Whether it be the Ma'an Band performing the 'debke', the Aqaba Folklore Band displaying their 'simsimiah' abilities, the 'quanoon, or our house band featuring the violin, 'tablah' & 'oude' our weekly guests leave having been entertained!

Other past performers have included the Jonoon Circus from Lebanon, Bloco Fogo drum group from the UK, Egyptian Stick Fighting, and the Armenian folk dance troupe, Spitak.

Local musicians and chorals from Aqaba's schools and universities often also take the stage, sharing their love of the arts while creating an interaction with the tourists passing through.
